Political Views

I believe all life begins at conception and each life God creates has a purpose. However, I do not disparage woman who have had an abortion or consider having one.  Instead, I support pregnancy centers that offer support and guidance to woman contemplating abortion and work towards saving lives. I am greatly honored to be endorsed by Michigan Right to Life.

Everyone has the right to their own opinions. I oppose censorship that prevents opportunities for inspiring dialogue and individual thought.

We must protect the rights of parents to have full authority when making important decisions that are in the best interest of their children. Parents should have control over all important decisions regarding their children's well being, especially regarding medical decisions.

The Public School system is critical in preparing our children for future success. I support school of choice and having the money follow the child. I believe bathrooms should be kept separate according to biological sex and keeping boys out of girls sports.  Sexually explicit pornography should not be accessible to minor's in any grade, and should not be in the premises of any school.  

I fully support our law enforcement and first responders. They work very hard to keep us safe, while being greatly understaffed and underpaid. 

The Constitution grants us the right to bear arms and to defend ourselves when necessary. I am a proud member of the NRA.

 I support LEGAL immigration. What has been occurring at our borders the last 3 1/2 years is nothing short of an invasion on this country and a dire threat to our national security. We must get our border under control and enforce our immigration laws. Over 10 million immigrants have entered this country illegally, and are receiving millions of our social security funds in the form of debit cards, food cards, housing, clothing and transportation, while U.S. Citizens suffer with high grocery, gas and utility bills. 

 I support a strong economy with low taxes, conservative spending and low inflation.

 I believe the Constitution was written with divine wisdom to stand the test of time. As county commissioner I will uphold the Constitution as my forefathers have done and defend the rights of the citizens of Muskegon County.
